Major attractions
Jaipur's headline sights are its forts and palaces. Amer Fort, above Maota Lake, is the city's most iconic monument, while Nahargarh and Jaigarh forts crown the surrounding hills. In the walled city, the honeycomb façade of Hawa Mahal, the royal City Palace and the UNESCO-listed Jantar Mantar observatory sit within walking distance of one another — with Jal Mahal, Albert Hall Museum and Patrika Gate close by.
