About Museum on Political Narratives
Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Museum, Jaipur
Rajasthan, a land renowned for its centuries-old tales of royalty and valour, also carries a rich and fascinating legacy of political history. Many of these stories, however, have remained largely untold. On 29 July 2019, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot announced the development of a state-of-the-art museum at the heart of the state's political landscape—the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly building in Jaipur.
Developed by Jaipur Smart City Limited (JSCL), this modern and interactive museum brings Rajasthan's lesser-known political narratives to life through 30 immersive galleries. The museum beautifully combines timeless art and historical elements with advanced digital and interactive technology to showcase the contributions of the state's prominent leaders, political figures, and heroes.
More than just a museum, this space serves as a valuable political archive of Rajasthan, preserving important moments and stories from the state's political journey. Through its engaging exhibits and immersive experiences, it also helps visitors understand Rajasthan's legislative traditions, democratic institutions, and political heritage.
The museum offers a unique opportunity to explore a different side of Rajasthan's history—one that goes beyond its forts and palaces and highlights the people, ideas, and events that have shaped the state's political identity.
