Introduction

Sisodia Rani Garden is a tiered Mughal-style garden of terraces, fountains and painted pavilions, built for a queen on the Agra Road east of the city.

History

Laid out in 1728 by Sawai Jai Singh II for his queen, Sisodia Rani, the garden is decorated with murals depicting the love story of Radha and Krishna.

Its calm terraces, flowing water channels and frescoed pavilions offer a peaceful escape from the busy city, and make a lovely spot for a stroll or photographs.
